Youth in Action for Animals Conference
October 2, 2009, marks an important event for RSPCA Victoria with the launching of its first-ever conference for youth. Youth in Action for Animals Conference will be a unique, meaningful program to inspire, support and educate young leaders who want to make a difference for animals.

AAHR Art & Poetry Competition – winners announced!
Coinciding with World Week for Animals in Laboratories (April 2009), the Australian Association for Humane Research invited secondary school students to take part in its nationwide art and poetry competition, focusing on animal experimentation. Winners have now been announced and you can see who won, and the winning entries in the AAHR newsletter (Winning entries on p.8) There are also many other interesting items in this newsletter!

Farmland
A new online video game released by the European Commission (EC) shows children what animal welfare can mean on a farm. Interactive and informative, "Farmland" targets children throughout the EU aged between 9 and 12 and also aims to help tomorrow's consumers make informed choices about the food they will be buying.
